Cleaning

The first step to maintaining Rubber Stone and Vuba Stone requires a pressure washer. Don't worry, you don't need one of those fancy commercial options. An electric pressure washer from the local home improvement store will work just fine. Start by pressure washing the surface and making sure to clean all debris from in between any grooves or cracks.

Making Repairs

These products, especially Rubber Stone, shouldn't need any major repairs. Because of the flexibility of the finished product, the surface can expand and contract in the heat and cold without cracking. If you drop a heavy object on the surface, it could gouge out an area which would need to be repaired before resealing.

Repairing can be done with a trowel and is virtually invisible once its sealed again. If you are not comfortable with this, give us a call, we can make repairs to your Rubber Stone surfaces.

Re-Sealing

Last but not least is re-sealing the surface. This is what gives you the protection against the elements and allows your surfaces to look beautiful for another 5 years to come. The sealant can be rolled over with a roller. Make sure you roll the surface evenly for the best results. Depending on the surface area and use, adjustments in timeline might apply.

DIY

One of the biggest cost-saving factors of Rubber Stone is the fact that maintenance can be done by you with little effort or time. Unlike other surface options that require experts in their craft, these surfaces are easy to maintain. If you are not comfortable doing this or simply have more money than time, give us a call so we can put you on a 5-year maintenance schedule.
