Rubber Stone is a resurfacing product that is applied directly on top of old worn and cracked pre-existing surfaces like concrete, asphalt, wood, and tile. It was developed in Canada over 30 years ago. In the last 30 years, the Rubber Stone team has improved the solution to become one of the most popular resurfacing products available today. Rubber Stone can withstand the heat of California summers and the cold of Canadian winters. Surfaces covered with Rubber Stone are durable, long lasting, and easy to maintain.

Cooler surface

Concrete, asphalt, tile, and even wood can get incredibly hot in the summer. In 90 degree weather, asphalt can reach temperatures of 150 degrees or more. Resurfaced with Rubber Stone and you can walk on the surface with your bare feet and still be comfortable.

Superior Slip Resistance

The single biggest benefit of Rubber Stone, especially for children and the elderly, is it's slip resistant nature. Just like the tires of your car, the surface provides traction, even in the rain.

This makes Rubber Stone an ideal candidate for stairs, pool decks, walkways, and other surfaces that get a lot of foot traffic. Concrete and tile can be very dangerous surfaces, especially when wet. Concrete, if properly maintained, is supposed to be sealed every 3 years. The result is a slick surface that is comparable to ice when it gets wet.

Customizable with Colors & Designs

Rubber Stone doesn't just come in one boring color, there are many colors to choose from. When properly maintained, the colors will stay bright and vibrant for years to come, long after colored concrete has faded and cracked away.

The customization doesn't stop with colors though. Our trained installers can create shapes with the Rubber Stone mix that can be embedded and surrounded in an entirely different color combination as well. Take a look at our photo gallery for examples.

Cost Effective Surfacing Option

Rubber Stone can be a very cost effective option, especially when looked at over the next 10 to 20 years. Unlike concrete, asphalt, and even tile, Rubber Stone requires very little maintenance. Maintenance consists of pressure washing and resealing every 4 or 5 years. Concrete is suppose to be sealed every 3 years but is often cracked before that.

There are Rubber Stone surfaces around North America that were applied 20 years ago that still look as good as new.

Overall, Rubber Stone requires less prep work, shorter application time, it cures quicker than other options and it is much easier to maintain.

You'll see the continued benefits and cost-savings of Rubber Stone for years to come.
